Went online to get tickets, which they were suppose to be £5 each advance, and £7 on the door, so going online and getting them was cheaper obviously... well online they charged a booking fee of a £1 so in the end it was only really £1 cheaper! :/ Wasn't that impressed but hey it was Exit Avenue so it was well worth it (Y)
Went and picked Chanita up at 7, and drove to Craufurd.. which we arrived a bit early.. but we soon bumped into old friends such as Dean and Lucas, and went into the bar and got drinks, which are now damn expensive!! After we sat down met more old friends such as Nick, and then embarrassingly saw old art teacher from secondary school, who lets say, saw in a very different light. Teachers are always more amusing when there drunk!
So the first band....:
Shadow Factory i think they were called.
They weren't that amazing, the structure of there songs need working on, but they were okay, and looked like fun, however Chanita noticed that the drummer sat with a very very straight back which made him look funny when he was drumming.
After the first band, we went back to the bar to get some more drinks, in which Chanita tryed her first ever strongbow bless her :) and i saw a very close old friend who was working the bar which was pretty trippy.
Second band.....:
Wearewolf, when they first started were EPIC! mainly because the lighting was amazing, and the guitarist had some damn right cool lights on his left hand which looked amazing when he was playing. However there epicness was ruined when the sound was poorly balanced, and the band had no stage awareness and was bumping into each other as they bounced around the stage. Though they were pretty damn epic at the start. (Y)
After the second band me and Chanita took the journey to the toilet, which really did smell BAD!!! but the nicer ones were out of order so had to use the smelly ones... in which Chanita described her toilet as smelling like the seaside with the snails... dunno what seaside she has been to! LOL Whilst the third band was setting up and doing sound check, the smoke machine was tested, in which me and Chanita saw this random guy attempting to blow the smoke away from him, which was funny if you were there. Just some random guy standing at the front freaking out about the smoke and trying to blow it away from him!!!
Third band.....:
Midgar!! Were amazing! :) Even though it made me laugh as they were all on stage for sound check, then they all put there instruments down walked off the stage, stood at the side and then came back on, took there instruments and started playing... didn't really see the point in it. But they were the best band compared to the other two, the structure of there songs were amazing, had good sound, good lighting, vocalist was nice ;) (Y) They were very good!!
Next on was Exit Avenue!!! The band i had come to see!! :D and when they came on OMG they were AMAZING!!!! <3
Whilst there epicness was playing away, me and Chanita were laughing un-controllably at this girl who was dancing... well more like twisting... but was funny! As well as that the mosh pit which happened behind us (as we were at the front) in which Chanita had never experienced in her life, and i gave her the advice to just push back, but instead she decided to just fall into me, in which if she was a random person i would have pushed her right back into it all, but as she had the worried look on her face i let her slam me into the stage and onto the speaker (Y) Ouch! All good fun :D
Then after the gig i finally got my Exit Avenue t-shirt from bass player Mitch and a nice hug from him too :D
Drove Chanita home and then got home and just slept :)
Forgot to mention, mine and Chanita's ears are now ruined so goodbye music career, and the way everything was miced up really did annoying me :)
Must say miss going to gigs and just chilling :)
Follow!
